Opaekaa Falls

Across the street from the Hale Kahawai B&B is the Opaekaa Falls. Our host Tom told us how there was a secret trail where you could hike down to the bottom and swim. Since the bottom of the falls were secluded by thick trees, there was little need for swimsuits. The weather was a little cloudy but we decided to go for it anyhow since we had Tom as our tourguide.

This is the pool at the bottom. Now before we go any further let's brush up on our science. QUESTION: If waterfalls are fresh water and the water comes from melted snow and runoff from the mountain tops, what is the temperature of this flow?
