Sabbats and Esbats for Microsoft Outlook
Here is a quick and simple way to add Sabbats, Full Moons, Quarter Moons, and New Moons to the calendar section of Microsoft® Outlook. The holidays cover 2001 through 2005.
This assumes you are running Windows ME and are using Outlook 2000. These steps may work for other versions of Windows and other versions of Outlook, but it has not been tested.
- Locate the file OUTLOOK.TXT. You will need to know the location of this file for later use. Just leave the FIND window open so you can refer to it. HOW TO Find a File:
- Click START
- Click SEARCH (or FIND)
- Click FILES OR FOLDERS
- In the "Named" field, type OUTLOOK.TXT
- In the "Look in" field, select MY COMPUTER
- Click FIND NOW
- Download and save this file: Outlook2001.txt. You will add the contents of this file to the end of the OUTLOOK.TXT file already on your hard drive.
- Open the Outlook2001 file using Notepad. The easiest way to do this is to double-click on the Outlook2001 icon.
- Select all of the text in the file
- Select COPY on the EDIT menu. This puts the entire Outlook2001 file into your computer's clipboard.
- Launch Outlook.
- Select OPTIONS on the TOOLS menu.
- Click CALENDAR OPTIONS on the Options dialog.
- Click ADD HOLIDAYS on the Calendar Options dialog.
- Select one or more of the following--
- Sabbats
- New Moons
- First Quarter Moons
- Full Moons
- Last Quarter Moons
- Click OK.
NOTE: If other holidays are selected, remove the check. You do not want to add a group of holidays more than once.
